Challenge
eBay set a bold target: cut Scope 3 shipping emissions by 27.5% by 2030. But with no owned fleet or warehouses, the emissions come from shipments made by sellers using third-party carriers.
Approach
To spark real progress, eBay partnered with LUSAYIN to host a roundtable for a focused dialogue on transforming Scope 3 emissions.
Contribution
LUSAYIN helped shape the strategy, curate participants, and facilitated the session to: (1) Define shared goals for cleaner parcel delivery globally; (2) Align on a collective direction for action; and (3) Identify next steps to advance eBay’s sustainability goals.
Outcome
The session positioned eBay as a convener in sustainable logistics and set the stage for new collaborations in Scope 3 shipping solutions.
“With LUSAYIN’s support, eBay clarified its transportation decarbonization strategy at a critical time. By aligning diverse stakeholders and translating trends into actionable outcomes, LUSAYIN was a key partner in advancing our sustainability goals.”

Challenge
Trellis Group’s — VERGE is the largest climate tech gathering in the United States, drawing over 4,000 of the industry’s leading voices. The VERGE Transport track is uniquely positioned at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and practical decarbonization strategies across all major modes of transportation. For two consecutive years, LUSAYIN was selected to lead the development of the entire transport track. Leveraging its deep industry network, LUSAYIN was the lead architect, crafting content tailored to Fortune 100/500 executives and practitioners driving forward the next era of sustainable transportation.
Approach
LUSAYIN approached the VERGE with a focus on industry relevance, cross-sector integration, and actionable insight. Recognizing the diverse needs of corporate sustainability teams, mobility providers, and government leaders, we began by mapping key trends in transport decarbonization and identifying where high-impact conversations were missing.
Contribution
LUSAYIN led the end-to-end development of the VERGE Transport track. This included: (1) Designing the thematic structure of the track around critical industry inflection points; (2) Collaborating with CEOs and top executives across on-road, aviation, maritime shipping and more like Eviation, Maersk, United Airlines, RMI, and Amazon; (3) Facilitating strategic content partnerships and panel formats that drove audience engagement; and (4) Moderating and advising on select sessions to ensure alignment with VERGE’s broader climate tech mission. Our work ensured the transport content aligned with both technical depth and real-world application, bridging the gap between innovation and implementation.
Outcome
Over two consecutive years, VERGE’s Transport track became one of the most attended and highly rated tracks. Attendees consistently cited the track for its practicality, quality of speakers, and relevance to real-world business decisions. (1) Helped drive partnerships and pilot opportunities between Fortune 500 companies and startups; (2) Elevated the visibility of key decarbonization strategies and technologies among top executives and (3) Contributed to VERGE’s growth as the premier convening for transportation and climate convergence in the U.S.
"LUSAYIN played a critical role in elevating the VERGE Transport track into one of the most dynamic and well-attended parts of VERGE. Their ability to surface what matters most to industry leaders and translate that into compelling programming was perfect.”

Challenge
The DUKE Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE) sought expert review on the “The Future of Transportation: What Every MBA Needs to Know.” The report covered sectors such as on-road, aviation, maritime shipping, micro-mobility, and more.
Approach
LUSAYIN approached the review with the goal of ensuring the publication would be both accessible to MBA students and grounded in current industry realities. Recognizing the challenge of distilling a vast and rapidly evolving sector into a concise explainer, we focused on evaluating the paper’s structure, sector coverage, and relevance to business decision-making.
Contribution
LUSAYIN provided detailed feedback on the report’s framing of transportation decarbonization, helping refine how complex sectors—such as aviation and maritime shipping—were introduced to a non-technical, business-focused audience. We ensured the inclusion of underrepresented but high-impact areas and offered recommendations to better align the explainer with the strategic considerations of future business leaders.
Outcome
The final publication was published on the MBA EDGE platform as a foundational resource for MBA students exploring climate-aligned business leadership. The explainer now serves as a go-to primer on transportation decarbonization within the Duke community and beyond.
“The input provided was very helpful in shaping the publication. The unique lens on various areas of transport decarbonization technology and strategic insights for a business audience helped ensure our explainer hit the mark for MBA students preparing to lead in a decarbonizing economy.”
